Please read these terms carefully before using the Treil platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Treil platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Treil is an automated trading analysis platform that provides paper trading simulations, autonomous scanner strategies, and Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) tools for cryptocurrency markets. The platform uses a deterministic rule engine to analyze market data and execute simulated trades. By default, all trading activity on Treil is simulated (paper trading) and does not involve real funds unless explicitly configured by the user with their own exchange API credentials.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you connect third-party exchange API keys, you are responsible for managing the permissions and security of those keys. Treil encrypts stored API keys using AES-256-GCM, but you acknowledge that no system is completely immune to security risks.
4. Paper Trading Disclaimer
The default mode of the Treil platform is paper trading, which uses simulated balances and does not execute real orders on any exchange. Paper trading results are hypothetical and do not guarantee future performance with real capital. Simulated results may differ significantly from actual trading due to factors including but not limited to market liquidity, slippage, exchange downtime, and order execution differences. You should not rely on paper trading results as an indicator of real-world profitability.
5. Not Financial Advice
The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Treil platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any other form of professional advice. You should consult a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions. Treil, its founders, employees, and affiliates are not registered financial advisors, brokers, or dealers.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; (d) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; (e) use the Service to manipulate markets or engage in fraudulent trading activity; (f) share your account credentials with third parties or operate multiple accounts; (g) use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond its intended API usage.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, code, design, trademarks, and intellectual property associated with the Service are owned by Treil and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without prior written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Treil and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, data, or funds resulting from trading decisions made based on information provided by the Service. Cryptocurrency trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk.
9. Service Availability
Treil strives to maintain continuous availability of the Service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses or damages resulting from Service downtime or interruptions.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability, intellectual property, and disclaimers) will remain in effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Treil operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
